Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate with at least 4 years' related experience in commercial/industrial HVAC or critical infrastructure.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is required.
• Specialty knowledge in maintaining critical infrastructure systems (HVAC, steam, chilled water, electrical).
• Reads and interprets electrical/control schematics.
• Willing to obtain/maintain qualifications for BSL-2/3/4 biocontainment labs.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on facility equipment with limited supervision.
• Independently repair non-critical systems; assist senior technicians on critical systems.
• Inspect facility regularly to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
• Assist during emergency repairs and containment breach responses.
• Escort vendors and support subcontractors; mentor junior staff on maintenance tasks and safety.
• Support development of maintenance procedures and record-keeping; monitor alarms and sensors.
