Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Florida Research and Innovation Center is seeking a Program Manager for the Biocontainment Facility. You will lead a facilities team, manage high containment labs (BSL‑3) and BSL‑2 systems, and coordinate preventive maintenance and projects to ensure safety, compliance and operation.

The role requires engineering background, BAS experience and strong leadership to support system‑wide initiatives and effective lab operations within a premier hospital system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• OR four years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and associated graphical interfaces, preferably Siemens, Trane and Phoenix controls.
• Knowledge of conducting field tests, verification and certification of critical biocontainment systems for laboratory facilities including HEPA filters.
• Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams.
• Four years of experience as a fully qualified tradesperson or technician in HVAC systems.
• Master license and other licenses required as appropriate for trade.
• Completion of apprenticeship trade or vocational school or knowledge obtained through four years of on‑the‑job training in HVAC systems.
• Must obtain and maintain Biological Select Agent and Toxin clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, inspections, repairs, troubleshooting and daily maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and facility equipment.
• Provide leadership, orientation, training, coaching and mentoring to assigned employees.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and departmental requirements.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance and annual shutdown activities for high‑containment labs.
• Maintain project records, testing protocols and trend data.
• Manage department budget, capital and operating costs, and inventory.
