Job summary

NJ Bio is seeking a Bioconjugation Scientist to independently plan project activities with a primary focus on Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs) and Antibody-Oligo Conjugates (AOCs). The role involves executing bioconjugation workflows, purifying and characterizing products using LC-MS, HPLC and related analytical methods, and maintaining rigorous lab documentation.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Chemistry/Biochemistry or related field with relevant industry experience.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan, execute and document bioconjugation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, plan, setup, monitor and purify conjugate reactions between small molecules and macromolecules from mg to gram scale.
• Plan and execute short and mid-term bioconjugation goals.
• Work using aseptic techniques.
• Contribute to scientific discussions and problem solving.
• Prepare project reports for clients.
• Maintain a detailed lab notebook.
• Maintain equipment and provide lab support.
• Perform safe lab practices and comply with SOPs.
• Perform other tasks as needed by management.
