Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA, seeks a Principal Scientist Bioconjugation to lead development of manufacturing processes for bioconjugates, including antibody drug conjugates (ADCs), and to drive technology innovation within the DSTS group of Process Development. You will mentor staff and provide technical leadership across functions.

The role requires a Doctorate with substantial bioconjugation experience and a strong track record in GMP manufacturing and tech transfer to CMOs.

Qualifications

• PhD/MD/PharmD with 2+ years of scientific experience.
• Master’s degree with 5+ years of scientific experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of scientific experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams for sustainable, cost-effective bioconjugate processes across clinical development stages.
• Drive bioconjugation technology innovation and process understanding.
• Support cGMP manufacturing and tech transfer to GMP production facilities (CMOs).
• Develop strategies to ensure process performance via modeling and characterization.
• Guide timely completion of project deliverables and regulatory documents.
