Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Paul L. Foster School of Medicine seeks a full-time biochemist and/or geneticist to join our interdisciplinary team of medical educator faculty. The candidate will help develop an integrated clinical curriculum and engage in research and service activities.

The department offers state-of-the-art teaching spaces and access to collaborative centers, with competitive benefits. Compensation is commensurate with experience and rank.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Genetics or an equivalent medical degree is required.
• Texas Medical Licensure or eligibility is required for MD/DO candidates.
• Board certification by ABMS for MD/DO candidates is preferred.
• Evidence of scholarly work in the field of expertise is expected.

Responsabilités

• Participates in course administration and instruction for the pre-clerkship phase.
• Develops and delivers an integrated curriculum blending basic science and clinical concepts.
• Employs case-based, large- and small-group discussion, lectures, demonstrations, simulations, and team-based learning.
• Provides formative and summative assessment of medical student performance.
• Engages in research and scholarly activity aligned with interests and experience.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA and institutional policies.

Formation

Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Genetics or M.D./D.O. degree

Texas Medical Licensure or eligibility

Board certification by a member board of ABMS (MD/DO)
