Job summary

NYU Langone Health seeks a Clinical Lab Technologist to perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, including specimen processing, testing, result calculation and reporting. You will maintain quality control, operate instruments, and document activities.

The role requires NYSDOH licensure, a qualifying Bachelor's degree (Clinical Laboratory Technology or related field), and at least one year of clinical lab experience. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• NYSDOH Licensed as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or in biology/chemistry/physical sciences as specified by NYS.
• One year experience in a clinical laboratory or completion of an internship.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests and procedures.
• Follows approved policies and procedures for methodologies and instrument operations.
• Maintains quality control, instrument maintenance, and calibration.
• Troubleshoots when control values or instrument checks are invalid.
• Reviews patient results before release to EMR and correlates with patient history.
