Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a full-time lab professional to perform molecular assays, maintain accurate records, and support routine lab operations. The role requires a life sciences degree with relevant experience and strong aseptic technique, data handling, and IT skills.

Responsibilities include PCR/NGS work, inventory management, plate-based assays, and use of automated systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life science with 2–4 years of related industry experience, or MS/PhD with up to 2 years experience.
• Experience with aseptic technique and laboratory procedures.
• Strong communication and record-keeping abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform molecular assays including PCR (RT/qPCR, dPCR), DNA/RNA isolation, NGS library prep/sequencing, and routine analyses (e.g., gel electrophoresis).
• Provide general lab support: inventory, ordering/restocking, primer/probe prep, stock tracking, plate filling/labeling.
• Execute plate-based assays using aseptic technique.
• Use automated systems and lab instruments to run assays and generate data.
• Record results in electronic lab notebooks (eLN) and reports.

Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform molecular assays including PCR (RT/qPCR, dPCR), DNA/RNA isolation, NGS library prep/sequencing, and routine analyses (e.g., gel electrophoresis)

• Provide general lab support: inventory, ordering/restocking, primer/probe prep, stock tracking, plate filling/labeling

• Execute plate-based assays using aseptic technique

• Use automated systems and lab instruments to run assays and generate data

• Record results in electronic lab notebooks (eLN) and reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life science concentration (chemistry, biology, or related fields) and 2-4 years of directly related industry experience or a MS/PhD degree in a life science concentration (chemistry, biology, or related fields) and up to 2 years of directly related industry experience.

Additional Responsibilities may include:

• Perform routine cell culture (shake flask passaging, cell banking, media prep, BSC upkeep)

• Use data analysis software and AI tools for plasmid maps and cell line and cell culture characterization under client guidance

The ideal candidate would possess :

• Experience with aseptic technique

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients, self‑motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

• Proficiency in IT related skills such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc

Additional Information

• Position is Monday- Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00PM. Overtime as needed.

• May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs
