Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking a lab professional to perform flow cytometry sample prep and analytical testing in a GMP‑like environment at our Durham, NC site.

You will train on and execute Cedex testing, UV/Vis spectroscopy, and metabolic analyzers while ensuring data integrity and compliant documentation. Collaborative team role with room for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science with 1–2 years of experience.
• Experience with Cedex testing and BioProfile metabolic analyzers.
• Experience with UV/Vis spectroscopy and NOVA/SoloVPE.
• Experience using electronic quality management and documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Train on and execute flow cytometry sample prep and assay development.
• Execute bacterial culture SOPs and lyophilization.
• Review and generate SOPs; prepare media solutions.
• Document lab work in GDP‑compliant electronic notebooks.
• Complete second scientist reviews in notebooks and documents.

Job Description

• Train on and then independently execute flow cytometry sample preparation and assay development experiments
• Execute bacterial culture SOPs/protocols as well as run lyophilization
• Review and generate SOPs
• Prepare various media solutions for upstream or downstream laboratory experiments
• Train on and then independently execute additional analytical testing for lab studies, including :
• Cedex testing
• Metabolic analyzers (e.g. "BioProfile")
• UV/Vis spectroscopy
• NOVA testing
• SoloVPE
• Document lab work in a data integrity and GDP‑compliant manner in an electronic laboratory notebook and/or paper protocols
• Complete second scientist reviews in laboratory notebooks and technical documents

The role may require walking/standing for up to 7 hours at a time

Qualifications

Minimum Experience

• Bachelor's degree in science (chemistry, pharmacy, or equivalent life sciences degree) at least 1-2 years of experience
• Previous experience with analytical techniques including:
• Cedex testing
• Metabolic analyzers (e.g. "BioProfile")
• UV/Vis spectroscopy
• NOVA testing
• SoloVPE
• Experience utilizing electronic quality management systems and electronic documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Mammalian Cell Culture techniques
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Experience in a cGMP regulated environment
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self‑motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

Additional Information

This position is Full‑Time, Monday - Friday, 8am-5pmp.m. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Durham, NC are encouraged to apply.
