Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking a laboratory professional in Indianapolis, IN to perform molecular assays including PCR and sequencing, and provide general lab support. The role requires a life sciences degree with relevant experience and strong aseptic technique.

The candidate will work with automated systems, maintain records in eLN, and contribute to data accuracy and client projects. Full-time with standard business hours and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life science with 2–4 years of related industry experience or MS/PhD with up to 2 years of experience.
• Experience with aseptic technique and cell culture is a plus.
• Strong computer, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform molecular assays including PCR (RT/qPCR, dPCR), DNA/RNA isolation, NGS library prep/sequencing and routine analyses.
• Provide general lab support: inventory, ordering/restocking, primer/probe prep, stock tracking.
• Execute plate-based assays using aseptic technique.
• Use automated systems and lab instruments to run assays and generate data.
• Record results in electronic lab notebooks (eLN) and reports.

Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform molecular assays including PCR (RT/qPCR, dPCR), DNA/RNA isolation, NGS library prep/sequencing, and routine analyses (e.g., gel electrophoresis)
• Provide general lab support: inventory, ordering/restocking, primer/probe prep, stock tracking, plate filling/labeling
• Execute plate-based assays using aseptic technique
• Use automated systems and lab instruments to run assays and generate data
• Record results in electronic lab notebooks (eLN) and reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life science concentration (chemistry, biology, or related fields) and 2-4 years of directly related industry experience or a MS/PhD degree in a life science concentration (chemistry, biology, or related fields) and up to 2 years of directly related industry experience.

Additional Responsibilities may include:

• Perform routine cell culture (shake flask passaging, cell banking, media prep, BSC upkeep)
• Use data analysis software and AI tools for plasmid maps and cell line and cell culture characterization under client guidance

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Experience with aseptic technique
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients, self‑motivation, adaptability, andapositive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Proficiency in IT related skills such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc

Additional Information

• Position is Monday- Friday 8:0 AM- 5:0PM.Overtime as needed.
• May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs
