Job summary

Azenta Life Sciences in Indianapolis is seeking a Biobank Technician I for the 1st shift (630am-3pm, Mon-Fri). You will register, label and retrieve samples, maintain cold storage, and ensure chain-of-custody according to SOPs and GMP/GLP standards.

This hands-on role requires attention to detail, teamwork and solid knowledge of Excel; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate in an environment with potentially infectious materials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience demonstrating teamwork and professionalism.
• Life Sciences experience preferred.
• GMP/GTP/CLIA experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Register, label, retrieve, and discard samples per SOPs.
• Manage inventory with barcodes and audit trails.
• Store materials at required temperatures.
• Perform quality checks and discard QC.
• Generate location management reports.
• Assist with lab services and outbound shipments.
