Role: The Biobank Technician I is responsible for accurately registering, labeling, retrieving, and discarding biological and production materials, ensuring proper temperature control and compliance with regulatory standards such as SOPs, GMP, GTP, and ISO.
Key Duties: Handle materials with care, perform quality checks, utilize inventory management systems, and maintain chain of custody. Tasks include scanning barcodes, verifying information, labeling, storing, retrieving, packaging, and documenting activities. Assist with facility upkeep and generate management reports.
Qualifications & Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of teamwork and attention to detail experience. Life sciences background and GMP/GTP knowledge are preferred. Strong communication, decision-making, and Microsoft Excel skills are required.
Physical & Working Conditions: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work with refrigerants, and stand or sit for extended periods. Work involves handling potentially infectious materials in a clean environment, following universal precautions, and flexibility to work across multiple facilities.
