AbbVie Inc. in Irvine, CA seeks a Co-Op Bioassay Scientist to develop bioassay methods using next-generation cell lines, applying cell culture, bioassay, PCR, and Western blot techniques. This six-month program emphasizes independent experimental design and collaboration with a cross-functional team.

You will read current literature, contribute to publications and patents, and present data in meetings and reports, gaining world-class experience in a dynamic pharmaceutical organization.

Competenze

• Currently enrolled in university pursuing a Master’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Science, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacology or related fields.
• Must be enrolled in university at the time of the Co-Op.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with scientists and cross-functional team members.
• Ability to develop comprehensive test plans and evaluate design concepts.
• Detail-oriented with a good track record of delivering reliable results.
• Good oral communication skills and sound technical writing and documentation competencies.
• Practical experience with cell culture, bioassay, cell-cycle control, PCR, Western blot, fluorescence microscopy.
