Job summary

Orion Group is seeking a Bioassay Automation Scientist in Irvine, CA for a 1-year contract. The role focuses on developing and executing automated bioassays (CBPA) and quantitative ELISA, supporting biologics programs, and building SOPs and technical reports.

The candidate will work with Opentrons and Hamilton systems, and participate in cross‑functional teams in a regulated environment. Ideal candidates have a biology degree with hands-on assay experience and coding skills (Python or C++), plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biology or related field with relevant experience.
• Experience coding in Python or C++ is required.
• Hands-on experience with automated bioassays and ELISA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, and support routine CBPA and qELISA testing on automation platforms.
• Transfer and validate bioassays for biologics programs.
• Write procedures and SOPs; maintain lab notebooks and data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to regulatory filings.
