Job summary

Moderna’s Bioanalytical and Molecular Assay team invites a motivated co-op student to support LC‑MS/MS activities for clinical programs. The role offers hands-on training in sample prep, LC‑MS/MS analysis, data processing, and regulatory documentation under experienced scientists.

Ideal candidates are pursuing BS or MS in a related field, with strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a desire to learn in a collaborative lab setting. This 2027 co‑op runs January to June in Norwood, MA.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, analytical chemistry, biotech or related field.
• Interest in bioanalytical chemistry, MS, and pharma/biotech research.
• Laboratory experience through coursework, research, internship or coop.

Responsibilities

• Support LC‑MS/MS method development, optimization, and sample analysis under supervision.
• Prepare calibration standards, QCs, reagents, buffers, and study samples.
• Assist LC‑MS/MS instrument setup, sample loading, and sequence prep.
• Process analytical data using SCIEX and Xcalibur software.
• Support sample tracking, run management, and study documentation in LIMS/ELN.
