Job summary

Oneida Hotel in Green Bay, WI is seeking a Bingo Caller who will provide excellent guest services, call bingo numbers, and verify winning cards. You will work as part of a team to ensure guests have a pleasant experience and handle daily reporting and till reconciliation.

The role requires 18+ years of age, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a clear, confident voice with an audition. Evening/weekend shifts and a structured pay differential apply.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• High School Diploma, HSED Diploma, or GED Certification due within one year of employment.
• Must possess a clear, strong voice and pass an audition demonstrating calling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Announce each Bingo game and call numbers to control game pace.
• Make announcements about rules and procedures before, during, or after sessions.
• Record all Bingo balls for jackpot games clearly and neatly.
• Operate computers to record numbers drawn, verify winning cards, and print reports.
• Program caller’s machine to ensure proper rotation of games.
• Monitor staff verifying Bingo; stop and recap as needed.
• Clean/maintain Bingo balls daily and prevent duplicates.
• Handle cash in/out and balance tills accurately.
• Provide guests with information about games, promotions, and Bingo supplies.
• Complete daily paperwork including Paymaster, revenues, and attest amounts.
• Safeguard all Bingo equipment and inventory at shift start and end.
• May substitute for other Bingo positions as required.

SALARY

$16.39/Hr Plus Tips

After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.

Tips

Tips average an additional $3.00 - $5.00 an hour.

Scheduling

Scheduling includes every other Friday-Sunday off.

Split shift schedule EXAMPLE start 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 pm return 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Shift Differential

• Monday-Thursday (6pm to 6am) - $1.00 per hour worked
• Friday 4pm to Saturday 4am - $3.00 per hour worked
• Saturday (4am to 4pm) - $2.00 per hour worked
• Saturday (4pm to 4am) - $3.00 per hour worked
• Sunday 4am to Monday 6am - $2.00 per hour worked

Position Summary

Provide excellent guest services and work as part of a team to ensure that the guests have a pleasant experience; call the bingo game, record numbers and verify the winning cards.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Announce each Bingo game and how it is played. Call the numbers for the Bingo game, thereby, having control of the pace of the game.
• Make announcements prior to game concerning rules of the Bingo game hall, procedures of games and make any special announcements before, during or after sessions.
• Record all Bingo balls for each jackpot game in a neat and legible manner.
• Operate computers to record numbers drawn for computer games, verify the winning card(s), call Bingo sessions, and print summary reports when necessary.
• Program the caller’s machine prior to bingo session to ensure proper rotation of games.
• Monitor employees who are trying to verify a Bingo. Stop the game and call back the Bingo and close the Bingo game.
• Clean and change Bingo balls on a daily basis, ensuring there are no duplicates or balls left in machine according to established Department Standard Operating Procedures.
• Cash in/Cash out customers while maintaining a balanced till and making every exchange carefully and accurately.
• Provide guests with information about the types of games played, promotions offered, and up sell Bingo supplies.
• Complete daily paperwork which includes all paymaster paperwork, count issued bank and revenues returned to verify the correct amounts and sign to attest the amounts.
• Maintain and safeguard Bingo Window, Mini Vault, Paymaster, Bash Sales, Floor Sales, Caller, and Inventory by counting and reconciling till and inventory at the start and end of each shift.
• Will be required to sell Bingo papers and may be required to substitute for other Bingo positions as needed.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Frequently walk, sit, stand.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to work evening, holiday, and/or weekend extended hours and irregular shifts.
• Work environment may NOT be smoke, noise, or dust free.
• A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment and annually thereafter as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• High School Diploma, HSED Diploma, or GED Certification is required within one (1) year of employment. (Applicants age fifty (50) and older are exempt from this requirement.
• Must possess a clear, strong voice (Demonstrated in the interview), to be able to speak in front of large crowds confidently and in a professional manner. (Must pass an audition demonstrating calling abilities).
