Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a Printing and Bindery Specialist for the 1st shift in Houston, TX. You will set up, adjust and operate a variety of bindery equipment and finishing units to produce books, catalogs and manuals from printed sheets.

You will inspect equipment for safety, coordinate multiple stations on a machine, supervise the crew, and monitor quality and productivity to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Calculate distances, clearances and fits for machines.
• Operate and adjust bindery machines safely and efficiently.
• Set up and coordinate multiple stations on a single machine.
• Knowledge of coated/uncoated paper stock and finishing tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate auxiliary binding machines and attachments.
• Operate automatic bindery machines with multiple functions to produce final books and catalogs.
• Inspect equipment for safety and maintain productivity and quality.
• Direct crew and monitor output across production stages.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity throughout shift.
