Job summary

Walsworth in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Bindery - Operator II to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain our bindery equipment, including Hunklers, Collators, 3-Knife Trimmers and Folders. This full-time role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with AS400 or Monarch systems.

You will handle 12-hour night shifts Thursday through Saturday, with a training schedule Monday through Friday mornings, and you must read and follow written instructions, meet production targets, and

Qualifications

• Ability to remain organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run, and maintain assigned machinery.
• Troubleshoot assigned machinery according to company procedures and practices to assure efficiency and quality to meet the required production schedule.
• Read and understand the written information pertaining to the job.
• Strive to meet or exceed departmental and company goals.
• Interpret and apply department policies, procedures and job instructions accurately.
• Communicate effectively with incoming shift personnel to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
• Maintain accurate counts.
• Follow all safety procedures as set forth by Walsworth.
• Move and organize scheduled work for assigned machinery.
• Assist in training new Bindery Operators.
• Monitor production and quality to make recommendations on process improvements.
• All other duties as assigned.
