Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Bindery Operator in Minnesota. You will set up, adjust, and operate bindery equipment such as die cutters, folders, gluers and stitchers to complete finishing processes.

Requires prior experience with bindery machines and the ability to calibrate for weight and color. Full-time with 12-hour rotating shifts and opportunities for growth in a stable company.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of bindery machines (e.g. Jogging machines, stackers, collators, binding and folding units).
• Thorough knowledge of setup and operating requirements for bindery machines to finish printed materials.
• Knowledge of paper stock quality and machining requirements; ability to adjust for weight, color and machinability.
• Ability to adjust machines to prevent machining impressions on printed materials.
• Must be able to calculate distances and fit between machines.
• Skilled in using tools to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
• Must maintain good attendance and be willing to overtime.
• Must flex schedule to production needs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate bindery equipment including cutters, folders, gluers and stitchers.
• Maintain and fine-tune equipment to meet quality standards and production targets.
• Work overtime as needed and adapt to rotating shift requirements.
