Job summary

Nystrom Publishing Co in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Bindery Associate to join our production team. You will operate and monitor bindery equipment, set up machinery, and ensure accurate, efficient production runs in a fast-paced environment.

You will inspect finished goods for quality, feed and assemble printed materials to job specs, and perform routine maintenance while adhering to schedules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a bindery, print finishing, or print production environment preferred.
• Familiarity with bindery equipment such as cutters, folders, stitchers, and laminators.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform equipment adjustments.
• Ability to read and follow job tickets and production specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor bindery equipment including folders, cutters, saddle stitchers, and perfect binders
• Set up, adjust, and maintain bindery machinery to ensure accurate and efficient production runs
• Inspect finished products for quality control, checking for proper alignment, trimming, and binding integrity
• Feed, collate, and assemble printed materials according to job specifications
• Follow production schedules to meet deadlines and output targets
• Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on bindery equipment
• Report equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors promptly
