Job summary

RRD in Brenham, TX is seeking a bindery operator to set up, adjust and operate a variety of finishing machines, including binding, folding and cutting equipment. The role involves coordinating multiple work stations, inspecting safety and maintaining accuracy.

You will train and support team members, monitor quality and productivity, and ensure output meets job orders. The position pays $18.50 per hour with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Familiarity with different paper weights, sizes, kinds and colors and ability to identify paper conditions.
• Basic mathematics to understand dimensional requirements and adjustments.
• Ability to use hand tools and adjust bindery equipment for accuracy.
• Read and interpret written work orders to ensure correct operations.
• Knowledge of bindery equipment procedures and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate bindery machines (binding, folders, cutters, etc.).
• Direct crew through all production aspects and coordinate multiple stations.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity to meet job orders.
• Inspect equipment for safety and perform routine adjustments.
• Train and support new and existing team members.
• Handle physical tasks as required by job duties.
