Sheridan is hiring a Manufacturing Operator - Bindery (We’ll Train You!) for the 1st shift in Grand Rapids. You will feed books into the machine, trim covers, interpret work orders, and inspect finished products to ensure quality. No bindery experience required as we provide on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, manuals.
• Basic math; add/subtract; use measuring devices.
• Take pride in doing quality work.

Responsibilities

• Feed books into the bindery machine.
• Trim book covers to required dimensions.
• Learn to interpret work orders and contents.
• Move materials and books safely to and from the workstation.
• Perform hand operations as required and operate the trimmer.
• Inspect finished products for quality compliance.
• Follow safety procedures and keep the workspace clean.
