Job summary

Sheridan is hiring a Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery to join a daytime shift. You’ll be trained to operate high-speed bindery equipment, feed books, pack orders, and handle materials safely on a fast-paced production floor.

No bindery experience is required; prior machinery experience is a plus. Perfect for those who want on-the-job training, reliability, and a path to a long-term career in print manufacturing.

Qualifications

• No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.
• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience and/or training
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace safety rules, and maintenance instructions
• Basic math skills, add/subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace
