Job summary

Sheridan Lebanon Junction is hiring for a Manufacturing Assistant Operator (Binder). You will support binder setup, monitor quality, and help maintain production flow in a fast-paced print manufacturing environment.

We look for reliable, safety-minded team members with basic math and measuring skills, able to read orders, work overtime, and collaborate with the Binder Operator to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine issues when malfunctions occur.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read a ruler and use hand tools.
• Basic math skills including addition and subtraction.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with binder setup according to job specifications.
• Set up the cover deck and feed covers.
• Maintain glue application on the spine and keep glue pots filled.
• Set up trimmers and maintain final trim size.
• Perform quality checks throughout the binding process.
• Inspect books for quality during production.
