Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball in Conyers, GA, is seeking a VDC Spooler to create fabrication level drawings for Mechanical and Plumbing systems using BIM fabrication modelling software. The role involves breaking the Building Information Model into manageable spools for the manufacturing facility to fabricate from.

Responsibilities include creating spool drawings, BOMs, pipe cut lists and spool maps, with QA/QC on all work.

Responsibilities

• Create fabrication spool drawings for Mechanical and Plumbing systems.
• Create fabrication spool map identifying installation locations for prefabricated spools.
• Annotate fabrication and installation shop drawings.
• Create bill of materials and pipe cut lists.
• Create pipe identification labels and assist in kitting for delivery.
• Perform QA/QC on own work and review others’ spooled drawings.
