Job summary

Moore's Electrical and Mechanical is seeking a VDC/BIM Detailer – Mechanical Piping/Plumbing for the Altavista Fabrication Hub. You will develop detailed 3D models of mechanical piping and plumbing systems, interpret drawings and submittals, and support prefabrication by coordinating with field teams.

This role bridges modeling work and fabrication, with opportunities to see models become real assemblies and to improve processes through collaboration with project, field, VDC and prefabrication

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical piping and plumbing construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Experience with BIM tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models for mechanical piping and plumbing systems.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Participate in VDC/BIM coordination and resolve clashes with other trades.
• Apply constructability and field knowledge when routing and coordinating systems.
• Produce coordinated installation drawings and project deliverables.
• Identify prefabrication opportunities and support spooling/fabrication workflows.
• Collaborate with project, field, VDC, and prefabrication partners to improve processes.
