Job summary
Actalent in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a skilled VDC/BIM Specialist to translate design intent into fabrication and installation drawings for mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems. You will generate LOD400 BIM models, create shop drawings, and coordinate with engineers, general contractors and subcontractors to support field layout and installation.
This contract-to-hire role requires 5+ years of experience with mechanical or plumbing systems, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Fabrication CADMEP
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with installation or 3D modeling of mechanical or plumbing systems.
- Prior experience working at a mechanical contractor (preferred).
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Fabrication CADMEP and Navisworks.
Responsibilities
- Translate design intent into fabrication and installation BIM details.
- Produce LOD400 BIM for mechanical and plumbing systems.
- Coordinate with General Contractor and subcontractors for spatial coordination.
- Attend weekly coordination meetings, onsite or virtual.
- Create detailed shop drawings for fabrication and installation.
