Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a VDC/BIM Coordinator to support model‑based coordination for complex semiconductor facility design projects. You will assist with BIM coordination, clash detection, model reviews, and meeting preparation under the Digital Delivery team.

The role targets hands‑on BIM/VDC experience with growing technical knowledge, working with disciplines and stakeholders to drive coordination and quality in project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field.
• 2+ years of BIM/VDC experience within a design or engineering firm environment.
• Experience supporting semiconductor, cleanroom, or advanced manufacturing facility design is preferred.
• Hands‑on BIM/VDC experience with modeling and coordination workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support design‑phase clash detection and BIM coordination workflows across multidisciplinary models.
• Assist with preparation, facilitation, and documentation of recurring coordination meetings.
• Help aggregate and manage federated models in line with BIM Execution Plans and client standards.
• Review clashes and design conflicts early to drive resolution with discipline leads.
• Track coordination items, update issue logs, and monitor progress toward resolution.
• Prepare coordination reports, meeting notes, dashboards, and basic metrics.
• Support model‑based design reviews focusing on constructability, operability, and maintainability.
• Apply BIM/VDC standards and QA/QC procedures under moderate guidance.
• Build knowledge of delivery processes, project standards, and client requirements.
• Suggest improvements to BIM/VDC workflows based on project experience.
