Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a BIM Technician to join the Buildings team in Los Angeles.

You will work on small/medium projects under the BIM team or as part of a larger group on bigger projects, focusing on robust BIM setup and documentation. You will use Revit Structure for 3D modeling, perform clash detection (Navisworks preferred), and help create and manage drawing sets while mentoring staff in BIM workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of recent versions of Revit and how they are applied in built environments.
• Solid understanding of Building Information Modeling concepts.
• Revit family creation and maintenance.
• Clamp-detection experience; Navisworks is a plus.
• Able to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Proactive in identifying efficiencies to BIM production.

Responsibilities

• Set up new BIM models and maintain project file structures.
• Collaborate with PMs and design staff to prepare drawings.
• Work with Revit Structure on 3D projects, manage multiple models, views, and geometry.
• Create electronic data files per company and client requirements.
• Convert markups to document-ready deliverables and publish drawing sets.
• Mentor staff in Design Technology systems and BIM workflows.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to BIM process improvements.
