Job summary

Stantec is seeking a BIM Technician to support the BIM team on small to medium projects and collaborate with larger teams on bigger initiatives. The role emphasizes setting up BIM models, preparing accurate drawing documentation, and ensuring compliant data delivery.

You will work with Revit extensively, maintain models, resolve clashes (Navisworks preferred), and mentor staff in Design Technology practices. Strong communication and multi-tasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience using Revit in architectural/engineering projects.
• Experience creating and maintaining Revit families and BIM models.
• Familiarity with design processes in the architectural/engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain BIM models and project file structures.
• Prepare drawing documentation with project managers and design staff.
• Work in Revit on 3D projects, manage multiple models, create views, place elements accurately, and maintain structural geometry.
• Create electronic data files compliant with company and client requirements.
• Convert markups into document-ready deliverables.
• Publish and manage drawing sets and revisions.
• Assist other staff with Revit issues and mentor junior staff in Design Technology tools.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve BIM production efficiency.
• Attend internal and external project meetings and contribute to studio and firm objectives.
