Job summary

Stantec is seeking a BIM Technician to support the BIM team on small to medium projects and collaborate on larger programs. You will set up BIM models, maintain structures, and help prepare documentation using Revit.

The role involves coordinating with project managers and design staff to ensure accurate, timely deliverables. You will engage in clash detection, model maintenance, and file management, while contributing to training and process improvements within Design Technology.

Qualifications

• Certificate from technical college.
• Minimum 3 or more years of relevant experience with Revit.
• Experience in the architectural/engineering/contractor industry.
• Familiarity with structural design within built environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up new BIM models and maintain file structure for projects.
• Prepare drawing documentation with project managers and design staff.
• Work with Revit on 3D projects, manage multiple models and views.
• Create data files in line with client requirements.
• Publish and manage drawing sets and revisions.
• Mentor staff in Design Technology systems usage.
• Identify opportunities to increase BIM efficiencies.
