Job summary

SAM is seeking a BIM Technician to support the creation, management, and coordination of Building Information Models for multiple projects. You will develop and maintain 3D BIM models, ensuring accuracy and alignment with design intent, while collaborating with field staff and project managers to streamline planning, construction, and maintenance.

The role requires strong BIM software skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in 3D modeling from laser scan data.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar BIM software.
• Familiarity, or willingness to learn, general field laser scanning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks or Civil 3D.
• Collaborate with field staff, modelers, and project managers to align BIM with project specs and design intent.
• Process data utilizing SAM standards, ensuring accuracy and sufficiency per BIM principles.
• Monitor field crew’s production and quality assurance.
• Carry out initial QC of field deliverables according to standards.
• Coordinate with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are met.
• Occasionally travel to client sites as needed.
