Job summary

Giga Energy Inc. is seeking a BIM Modeler, Structural for its Houston-based AI data center projects. You will own the structural model from foundations to equipment pads, working in Revit and AutoCAD to federate the BIM model and generate coordinated outputs.

You will coordinate with structural engineers and other disciplines, build reusable family libraries, and ensure alignment with foundations and equipment GA drawings, contributing to high-density infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years modeling structural scope in Revit for industrial, energy, substation, or mission-critical projects.
• Expert-level Autodesk Revit, including Revit Structure, family creation, parametric content, worksharing, and shared coordinates.
• Strong AutoCAD fluency — move between AutoCAD and Revit without losing accuracy.
• Demonstrated experience with foundations, equipment pads, and anchor bolt or embed layouts for heavy equipment.
• Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC 360.
• Able to read structural calculations, geotechnical reports, and equipment GA drawings.
• Navisworks proficiency with clash tests and resolving interference in models.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Data center or mission-critical experience with multi-block campuses and high-density equipment support.
• Substation structural work including equipment foundations and bus supports.
• Modular or prefabricated work where model drives factory build.

Responsibilities

• Model the structural discipline in Revit—steel framing, module frames, equipment pads, and supports.
• Create foundations, embeds, and anchor bolt layouts coordinated against equipment GA drawings.
• Verify anchor bolt locations against GAs before pour and shop release.
• Model framing for enclosures, e-houses, and GigaPod/GigaBase modules.
• Model outdoor structural scope: bus supports, cable trench, platforms, bollards, fencing.
• Convert incoming AutoCAD drawings to native Revit geometry and output CAD as needed.
• Maintain federated model, run Navisworks clash detection, resolve structural conflicts.
• Produce structural drawing packages (plans, sections, layouts) through gates (30/60/90%, IFC).
• Build and maintain a parametric Revit family library for repeatable content.
