BIM Specialist: Coordination, Clash Detection & BEP

Job summary

GBA in Lenexa, KS is seeking a BIM Specialist to lead model coordination, establish BEPs and standards, and support project teams from kickoff through closeout. You will set up projects in Revit, manage worksets, guard model quality, and resolve clashes while collaborating with PMs, architects, engineers and contractors.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years BIM/Revit experience, strong Revit skills, and comfort guiding teams with cloud collaboration and content creation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of BIM/Revit experience in architecture, engineering or construction.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit including setup, worksets, linked models, sheets and schedules.
• Experience creating/modifying parametric families, details, schedules and title blocks.
• Knowledge of BEP, standards and multidisciplinary coordination workflows.
• Experience with clash detection and issue tracking using Navisworks, ACC or similar tools.
• Experience with cloud-based collaboration platforms such as Forma, ACC, BIM 360.
• Ability to produce model-based deliverables, visualizations and data extractions.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM kickoff meetings and establish project standards, modeling protocols and coordination workflows.
• Develop and maintain BEPs and ensure alignment with company and client standards.
• Set up BIM projects, templates, models, work sets, links and collaboration environments.
• Coordinate with architecture, engineering, construction and trade partners to support model-based delivery.
• Perform routine clash detection and support issue tracking, coordination and resolution.
• Manage model updates and help integrate design changes so models stay coordinated with milestones.
• Support teams in producing model-based deliverables, visualizations and data extractions.
• Help implement and manage cloud-based collaboration platforms such as Forma/ACC/BIM 360.
