Job summary

W.G./Welch Mechanical Contractors, LLC is seeking a BIM / Prefabrication Manager to lead BIM, VDC, and prefabrication for mechanical and plumbing projects. You will oversee modeling, coordination, spool drawings, fabrication production, quality control, and on-time delivery.

The role serves as the primary liaison between Preconstruction, Project Management, Field Operations and the Fabrication Shop to maximize prefabrication opportunities and improve project execution through technology and

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years BIM/VDC experience in mechanical or plumbing construction.
Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
Ability to independently create fabrication spool drawings, shop drawings, and installation drawings from BIM models.

Responsibilities

Lead BIM, VDC, and design coordination for mechanical and plumbing projects.
Create and manage BIM standards, procedures, workflows, and best practices.
Generate fabrication spool drawings, shop drawings, installation drawings from BIM models.
Coordinate plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems with other trades.
Maintain BIM documentation and RFI tracking.
Supervise BIM and fabrication personnel and promote Lean practices.
