Job summary

VEC is seeking a Building Information Modeler to develop and coordinate accurate 3D BIM models for electrical, mechanical, and fabrication workflows. This role collaborates with project managers, field leaders, customers, and trade partners to translate designs into constructible models.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of BIM/VDC experience and proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, with strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of BIM, VDC, CAD, detailing, or construction modeling experience.
• Associate degree or technical training in Building Information Modeling, CAD, engineering technology, construction technology, drafting, or related field preferred.
• Proficient with Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
• Ability to read drawings and engineering documents and understand 3D coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D BIM models from drawings, specs, field data, and project requirements.
• Coordinate BIM with general contractors, engineers, customers, and trade partners.
• Perform clash detection and resolve constructability issues before construction begins.
• Maintain models through the project lifecycle and support fabrication/as-built documentation.
