Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Remote VDC Designer, Electrical to support large-scale construction projects. You will create, maintain, and coordinate detailed electrical BIM models, working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and MEP teams to ensure clash-free, constructible designs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of VDC/BIM and construction modeling experience.
• MEP knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit with the ability to create and manage detailed 3D models.
• Experience with LOD 350-400 Electrical modeling.
• Experience with Revit and Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate electrical 3D models in Revit.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and resolve design conflicts.
• Collaborate with MEP teams to ensure coordinated and constructible designs.
• Provide remote support to field operations and project teams.
• Integrate 3D scans and field data into project models.
• Prepare and manage technical documentation, drawings, and schedules.
• Conduct quality control reviews to ensure model accuracy and compliance.
• Support BIM/VDC processes throughout all phases of construction projects.
• Utilize BIM360 and other collaboration tools to improve project coordination.
• Stay current on emerging BIM and VDC technologies to drive process improvements.

Position: Remote VDC/Electrical Designers

Location: Fully Remote (Must sit PST / MST / CST)

Pay: $35-$40/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday (40hours - with some OT)
