Job summary

CDM Smith in Chicago seeks an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate deliverables across architecture, vertical and transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP into a single federated, clash-checked model.

You will run Navisworks clash detection, enforce CADD/BIM standards, mentor staff across offices, develop BIM Execution Plans, and advise pursuit teams on LOD and data handoff requirements with clients and agencies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational tech training in basic CADD drafting and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP into a single federated model.
• Model coordination and clash detection using Navisworks; lead resolution of conflicts.
• Establishes and enforces CADD/BIM standards and workflows across offices.
• Mentors production staff and provides design sketches for deliverables.
• Interacts with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements and data handoffs.
• Develops BIM Execution Plans and contributes to model-based deliverable scoping.
