Job summary

Kids for the Future, Astoria-based general contracting firm, seeks a full-time BIM Coordinator to oversee BIM coordination and As-Built processes across the active project portfolio. You will provide centralized oversight of project-specific BIM Coordinators, ensuring coordination deliverables meet design, constructability, and applicable code requirements.

The role includes QA/QC reviews, establishing coordination standards, and supporting resolution of multi-trade coordination issues

Qualifications

• Provide company-wide oversight of BIM Coordination across multiple concurrent projects.
• Establish company and project requirements, deliverable expectations, submission procedures, and quality standards for BIM Coordination.
• Monitor BIM Coordinator performance, progress, and deliverable quality through independent reviews and regular coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on MEP coordination, constructability, and code requirements.
• Review RFIs and ensure responses are incorporated into project documentation.
• Identify issues requiring design clarification and coordinate escalation as needed.
• Support resolution of complex multi-trade coordination issues.
• Monitor coordination progress and deliverable readiness across projects.
