Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking a BIM Technician I to contribute to the development of detailed 3D models for engineering projects. You will support BEPs, maintain BIM workflows, and assist with calculations to support project delivery.

Responsibilities include model setup, documentation, and collaboration with engineers, designers and clients. This role emphasizes continuous learning of BIM tools and adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in BIM or 2 years of BIM-related experience producing mechanical/electrical drawings preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Fundamental knowledge of A&E industry codes, design guides and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares layouts, details, schedules, drawings for mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, refrigeration, technology and electrical systems.
• Reviews BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and integrates BEP objectives into BIM workflows.
• Performs model setup, base cleaning, sheet setup and view setup to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintains 3D BIM models and generates reports on model health and integrity.
• Assists with engineering calculations and collaborates with project team for improvements.
• Contributes to BIM standards development and keeps up-to-date with software updates.
