Job summary

VarcoMac in Chantilly, VA is seeking an Electrical Pre-Fab Detailer to produce Rev it-based field installation shop drawings, prefabrication build drawings, details, and spool sheets for electrical projects. You will collaborate with the BIM Coordination team, Pre-Fab Shop Managers, and field leaders to ensure designs are accurate and buildable.

• Proven experience in electrical BIM detailing, electrical 3D coordination, or related detailing work.
• Strong skills in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Familiarity with electrical systems in commercial construction.
• Experience or interest in prefabrication workflows and how BIM supports field execution.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Detail-oriented mindset with passion for high-quality deliverables.
• Bonus: EVOLVE software experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop Revit-based field installation shop drawings, prefabrication build drawings, details, and spool sheets for electrical projects.
• Collaborate with the BIM Coordination team, Pre-Fab Shop Managers, and field leaders to ensure designs are buildable.
• Use Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks to support 3D coordination and visualization.
• Translate 3D models into practical documentation for prefabrication and field installation.
• Support continuous improvement of processes, templates, and workflows in Pre-Fab detailing.
• Leverage EVOLVE and other digital tools to improve detailing efficiency and accuracy.
