Job summary

Aldridge Electric seeks a VDC Detailer to join our dynamic, energetic team. In this role you will utilize BIM software and work with experienced detailers to develop detailed information for electrical construction.

You will produce fabrication spool drawings, detailed rack drawings, CAD as-builts, and CAD files for CNC machines. The position requires reading and understanding drawings, strong attention to detail, and clear communication with project teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM workflows.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and plans.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity of project drawings and protect privileged information.
• Collaborate with VDC, PreFab and Project Teams.
• Work with experienced detailers using BIM to model electrical systems.
• Produce fabrication spool drawings, detailed rack drawings, CAD as-builts, and CAD files for CNC machines.
• Promote and educate project teams about Virtual Design and Construction benefits and technologies.
