Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to support modular manufacturing projects in Austin, TX.

The role focuses on electrical, instrumentation, and controls design for capital projects, leveraging Revit for fabrication drawings and system schematics. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in design engineering, deep knowledge of electrical power, instrumentation, and control systems, and experience with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent science degree.
• 5+ years of experience in a Design Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role.
• 5+ years of Electrical, Instrumentation or Controls installation experience.
• Advanced knowledge of API, NEC, NFPA, IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls Design for Capital Projects.
• Create client issue drawings and detailed fabrication drawings using Revit.
• Develop electrical Revit families and custom electrical components.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, interconnection schedules, and panel schedules.
• Design and coordinate MCCs, switchboards, panelboards, PDUs, CDUs, PLC systems, and fire alarm systems.
• Support Engineering and Construction Contractors as needed.
• Assist Operations and Maintenance as a technical resource.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes for industrial manufacturing.
• Provide instrumentation and controls design support through project phases.
