Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to support modular manufacturing projects. You will design electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for capital projects, create fabrication drawings in Revit, and develop detailed schematics and panel layouts.

The role requires 5+ years in design/manufacturing engineering, familiarity with API/NEC/IEEE standards, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and fabrication teams to ensure safe, compliant,

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in Electrical, Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent science degree.
• 5+ years of related experience in a Design Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role.
• Advanced knowledge of technical standards and guidelines (API, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls Design for Capital Projects.
• Create client issue drawings and detailed fabrication drawings using Revit.
• Develop electrical Revit families and custom electrical components.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, interconnection schedules, and panel schedules.
• Design and coordinate MCCs, switchboards, panelboards, PDUs, CDUs, PLC systems, and fire alarm systems
• Support Engineering and Construction Contractors on an as needed basis.
• Support Operations and Maintenance as a technical resource when needed.
• Maintain company instrumentation design criteria and specifications.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation related issues across electrical, mechanical, and control domains.
• Draft design documents including loop sheets, motor schematics, panel schedules and I/O cabinets.
• Other duties as assigned.
