Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking a Structural Design Intern to help establish, maintain, and improve company drafting standards and tools while contributing to project success. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor's program in CAD & Drafting Technology or related discipline.
• Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, GEOPAK, Navisworks; basic knowledge of operating systems.
• Strong email communication; proficient with spreadsheets and databases.
• Clear communication with team members and other disciplines, both oral and written.
• Ability to complete assignments within designated timeframes.
• Understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering and vendor documentation.
• Represents Kiewit professionally with owners, contractors, vendors and external contacts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with design group members to review and exchange project information for design and development
• Gathers required information and collaborate with engineers and multiple disciplines to develop BIM models for foundations and steel structures
• Leverages Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create plans, drawings, and details
• Assist in the development of department standards and tools
