Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking experienced Structural Designers to join our team in a role focused on CAD and BIM-driven design for nuclear facilities. The position emphasizes coordination across disciplines, development of BIM models for foundations and steel structures, and mentoring junior designers.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years of structural design with Revit, Navisworks proficiency, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Completion of a CAD training program (vocational) and strong Revit experience.
Ability to interpret multi-discipline engineering and vendor documents.
Proven leadership to mentor junior designers.
Strong knowledge of BIM processes and standards.
Proficient in Navisworks and Office applications.
US citizen or permanent resident.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with design group members to review project information.
Check design for safety, operability, and maintainability before submitting for checking.
Report task progress to Lead Designer.
Gather required information and develop BIM models for foundations and steel structures.
Leverage Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create plans, drawings, and details.
Aid in the development of department standards and tools.
Mentors other team members in design and modeling techniques.
Resolve design issues effectively with input from responsible party.
