Job summary

J Murphy & Sons is seeking a Senior Design Coordinator to support Energy on the GGP Project. The role involves traveling to multiple site offices and being based out of Ollerton or Wigan, with travel to Bury St Edmunds.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in civil engineering, construction or similar.
• Professional membership of an Engineering Institution or progression towards.
• Engineering design experience on Power T&D, renewables or EPC projects.
• Exposure to design management/coordination and construction experience.
• Autodesk suite including AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.
• Proficient with BIM, CDEs and document control systems.

Responsibilities

• Review submissions for quality and sufficiency.
• Lead design engineering on small/medium projects as directed.
• Coordinate design with internal designers, consultants, suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure Aconex or client CDE is correctly set up and used.
• Monitor and report design progress against the programme.
• Oversee constructability and temporary works considerations.
• Review design progress and details using CAD/BIM tools.
• Monitor NCRs and close them out.
• Collaborate with Surveyors, Buyers, Contract Managers, PMs, site managers and estimators.
