Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Virtual Design and Construction Designer to join the BIM design team for Data Center facilities. You will prepare federated BIM models and data, coordinate multi-disciplinary work, and support central engineering with documentation and constructability reviews.

Role involves clash detection, template enforcement, and coordinating information exchange across internal and external teams. Travel to sites is expected once or twice yearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Structural, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years with Autodesk Revit and BIM coordination.
• 3+ years producing construction drawings for mission-critical facilities.
• Experience with Navisworks.
• Experience with Autodesk Forma or ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate consolidated BIM templates and models for Data Centers using Revit and Navisworks.
• Lead design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution.
• Work on concurrent projects across multiple geographical locations.
• Audit project deliverables and monitor quality.
• Travel to Data Center sites about once or twice per year.
• Provide coordination support during construction phases.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Structural, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
