Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a seasoned BIM Designer to join our Data Center Design Team in Texas.

You will design and model data center facilities, coordinate multi-disciplinary work, and ensure BIM standards and templates are followed across projects. You will work with internal and external partners to support design optimization, constructability reviews, and code compliance while contributing to efficient, scalable data center solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers
• 2+ years of experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM coordination
• 3+ years of producing construction drawings for mission critical facilities
• Experience with Navisworks
• Experience with Autodesk Forma or ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud)

Responsibilities

• Be self-motivated and work within the BIM Design group as well as within other teams
• Update and modify existing models, studies and construction documents as required
• Assist with creating, maintaining, and enforcing BIM templates and standards
• Audit project deliverables and monitor quality
• Lead design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution
• Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations
• Assist the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers
• Provide coordination support for information requests during construction phases
• Recording and reporting of key metrics to management
• Travel to Data Center sites for engineering evaluations and surveys as required
• Be positive and always offer creative, out of the box solutions
