Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Virtual Design and Construction Designer to create and manage BIM models for data centers. You will design, coordinate, and refine complex projects with multi‑discipline teams across AWS Data Center facilities.

You will produce federated BIM models, ensure code compliance, and drive constructability reviews while supporting central engineering with BIM data and coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
• Proficient in Revit and BIM coordination with a strong eye for constructability.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for the region.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate consolidated templates and in-source models for Data Centers using Revit and Navisworks.
• Audit deliverables, manage BIM templates, and support design coordination meetings.
• Lead cross‑discipline coordination to resolve clashes and improve constructability.
• Travel to Data Center sites for evaluations as needed, typically once or twice a year.
• Produce and maintain coordinated BIM models for AWS Data Center fleet.
