Job summary

MMR Group is seeking a BIM Coordinator in Columbus, OH to design and coordinate 3D models, prepare shop drawings, and integrate with multiple trades. The role involves ensuring accuracy in As-Builts, collaborating with project teams, and applying electrical code knowledge to align drawings with contract documents.

You will read plans, perform site surveys, and help resolve RFIs through close coordination with architects, engineers, and field personnel.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working as a BIM Coordinator, Detailer, or Modeler.
• Proficient in MEP REVIT.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to create and annotate drawings with high accuracy and minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design models (coordination, shop drawings and as-builts).
• Coordinate the model with other trades and assist with system design.
• Prepare sketches showing wiring and equipment locations within designated job specs.
• Apply knowledge of National Electrical Codes and contract documents.
• Read and interpret drawings to execute 3D modeling and resolve conflicts.
• Work with project management to resolve RFIs and coordinate drawings.
• Perform site surveys and field measurements as needed for design drawings.
• Review submittals and maintain logs for RFIs and transmittals.
